Rising Organizers Action Fellowship
Rising Organizers Action was founded in 2019 to fully address the needs of the progressive community organizing specifically around electoral work. We offer public and private trainings in field organizing, as well as a brand-new fellowship program focused on developing the skills necessary to join political campaigns as full-time organizers.
Modeled after the extremely successful fellowship of our sister organization, Rising Organizers, we offer a free, 7-week intensive program that will provide new and aspiring field organizers the skills they need to set goals, build strong teams and win. Organizers should expect to leave able to jump onto any campaign, large or small, with the skills they need to succeed. The fellowship will culminate in an opportunity to meet campaign organizers and leaders, and connect with them over their experiences. We believe that investing in the field of progressive leaders on political campaigns will ensure a better future for all of us.
Who is the fellowship for?
This fellowship is intended for people hoping to join political campaigns as full-time organizers or people who expect their volunteer organizing work to be primarily electoral. For people who are interested in community or issue-based organizing, including organizing that is in a volunteer capacity, please look into Rising Organizers’ Community Organizing Fellowship.
Rising Organizers Action does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, or status with regard to public assistance. People of color, members of the LGBT community, people with disabilities, and members of other underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
It is expected that fellows will prioritize attendance at every session. They will be held primarily on weekends, with occasional meetings after work hours.
